The legendary hero of Hyrule, Link, is caught in a heated clash with the young angel Pit in Skyworld. Unknown to Link, a spectator from far above is surprised by his fighting prowess. Wishing to join the battle, the Goddess of Light, Palutena, gets ready for her divine intervention.

Hikari no Magami was used to introduce Palutena as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
