Having experienced a nuclear winter, humanity is no longer the dominant species here. Species mutations and scarce resources create unpredictable crises as the environment and future become increasingly challenging. Humans have built fortifications to protect themselves, but many choose to live outside these walls, hunting for survival in the wilderness. The protagonist, Ren Xiaosu, and his younger brother, Yan Liuyuan, are among them. These two brothers, unrelated by blood but bound by a strong will, grow stronger through sheer willpower and awaken superpowers by chance. To survive and protect his family, Ren Xiaosu leaves his town for Jingshan Mountain, encountering attacks from wolves, human-faced insects, and mutated creatures along the way.
