Tamura is the chef aboard White Base. He first appears in episode 9, when Kai questions him for providing larger meals to Amuro and Ryu. He later returns in episode 16, expressing concern over the ship's lack of salt. This results in White Base changing course to find salt water to replenish their supply. His final appearance is in episode 33 when he goes along with Amuro and Fraw to a shopping center in Side 6 to buy groceries.
