When he was young, he saw a puppy being bullied by bears and even though he was scared, he decided to help. He got seriously beat up by them. The puppy then started licking his wounds, even though he wanted it to stop.

During his third year of middle school, he attended Seton Academy’s information session for potential students without any real intention to enroll; he mainly went to mock the school for fun. However, he was approached by a cat student from Seton’s junior high section (who was actually Hitomi Hino in disguise) who wished to show him around the campus and toured the school with her. Ultimately, he enrolled at Seton, and was implied to do so in hopes of reuniting with the cat student, never realizing who she really was.
