Yumi Hanazono is a spunky girl with an active imagination. She loves to draw and dreams of becoming a manga artist. Having grown up in a family of florists, she loves flowers and cares deeply about them.

Yumi is actually quite the tomboy. It seems that all of her friends are boys, and she spends a lot of time playing sports or doing various outdoor activities. This often causes friction with the other girls, who think that Yumi is too "unwomanly." Yumi often takes these comments to heart and tries to learn to be more girly.
