Wilma's only anime appearance was in A Meteoric Rise to Excellence! . Ash and his friends met up with her after witnessing her teach an Altaria to use Draco Meteor. She explained that many Trainers, including Altaria's, leave their Pokémon with her so that she can teach them Draco Meteor.

Later, a wild Gible that Wilma knew showed up and she explained that it shows up frequently. Ash and his friends helped her rescue Altaria from Team Rocket and she later showed them the way to Daybreak Town.
