Qin Ya is Qin Ze's twin sister and is considered to be a beautiful top idol singer. She is interested in achieving her longtime goal of becoming a successful actress and had originally intended to become a singer in order to help inspire her brother return to the musical stage himself. However, she is poor at taking care of herself and also sometimes lazy and keen to avoid work. Because of her outwardly confident attitude, there are many in the entertainment industry who dislike her.

When Ya and Ze were young children, she considered Ze to be somewhat of a "tyrant" that worked too hard. She eventually grew up to have a bit of a selfish and whimsical personality toward him, but she cares deeply for him and his success at singing. She enjoys having Ze dress up as and pretend to be her, while she also likes dressing up as and pretending to be her brother herself.

Ze's and Ya's Japanese names, Eita and Karina, come from the Eta Carinae Nebula.
